Trident is pleased to confirm it is now offering Lightspeed, a suite of web content filtering products and mobile device management solutions tailored for the education market.
Popular in the US and now becoming widely available in the UK, Lightspeed offers four interlinked products, which enable schools, colleges and other ‘districts’ such as local authorities to create a safe, controlled Internet learning environment where students and staff can access appropriate resources and materials not just within the campus or district but also outside it. Lightspeed includes a web filtering solution that lets users set parameters for content access, a mobile filter enabling teaching and learning beyond the district via home and mobile broadband, a ‘My Big Campus’ social networking site and a Mobile Device Manager to simplify device and application deployment.
Having trialled Lightspeed at its offices, Trident’s engineers were highly impressed with its ease-of-deployment.
