Once again, Trident will be joining local companies by taking part in Rockinghorse’s Christmas fundraiser, Dress Yourself as an Elf, sponsored by Austin Rees, Chartered Surveyors and Property Managers based in Hove. Staff will be getting festive and wearing red and green to work on 9th December to help raise money for local sick children. Lee Harvey, Trident’s Managing Director says:
We’ve worked with the Rockinghorse for many years and it’s a great honour to be their IT partner of choice. The work they do supporting sick children is incredible and their fundraising events are invaluable for so many in the local community. We’re looking forward to supporting their Dress Yourself as an Elf day.
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity aims to improve the lives of sick children throughout Sussex. They are best known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in Brighton, where they raise money for items necessary to every child’s treatment. Rockinghorse’s Head of Fundraising, Analiese Doctrove says:
‘This is our fifth year of Dress as an Elf and we’re so pleased that Trident is taking part. We hope that everyone has a great time and really gets into the spirit of Christmas on the 9th December. The money raised will make a big difference to children in hospital at this time of year.’
Rockinghorse will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2017 and all money raised through Dress Yourself as an Elf will be going towards their new fundraising appeal ‘Sussex Giving for Sussex Children’. Rockinghorse aim to provide £500,000 worth of funding which will be split between 10 worthy children’s centres and paediatric services across Sussex. They strive to make these services stimulating, cutting-edge and accessible for the many babies, children and young people who need them, and through the 50th year initiative, aim to make a real difference by supporting some truly deserving projects.
Rockinghorse does not receive any government funding and relies on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts.
Trident have been the IT partner of choice for the Rockinghorse for many years and we’re very proud not only of the work we’ve done for the Rockinghorse but also the relationship we’ve built up with them over the years.
