Following recent price cuts to the current Office 365 plans, Microsoft have announced they’ll be making major but exciting adjustments to the plan structures, offering extensive benefits to both new and existing customers.
The new plans will be released October 1st 2014 and will include features and price points which are particularly advantageous for small and midsize business customers, from 1 to approximately 300 employees.
A significant benefit is that customers are no longer tied into a specific plan and can assign licenses from any of the new plans to fit the specific needs of each user. This flexibility helps to drive significant savings across an Office 365 tenant.
New customers will immediately benefit from the versatility of the new plans, whilst existing customers will be offered the opportunity to opt-in after the launch. Microsoft recommends existing customers take no action until their first renewal falling after October 1st 2015. However, if there are any of Trident’s clients who would like to explore the options of renewing to the new plans before 1st October 2015, then you can contact your Trident Business Manager who will discuss the options with you.
The migration path for existing Office 365 customers looks as follows:
Small Business Plan customer will migrate to Business Essentials Plan
Small Business Premium Plan will migrate to Business Premium Plan or E3 Plan
Midsize Business Plan will migrate to Business Premium Plan or E3 Plan
All Office 365 plans come with a financially-backed 99.9% uptime service level agreement and 24/7 technical support by a global network of experts, for critical, service impacting events. Trident have analysed the plans and recognised how valuable this new improved versatility will be a major benefit to all customers.
